The Circular Farm and Food Society (CFFS), the non-profit organization that operates the Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture, is accepting up to two new board members at large and a Secretary (Executive position) for 2025. Our mission is to empower farmers, restore land, and secure our food future.

If you are excited about regenerative farming, the environment, and creating resilient communities, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact. We welcome applicants with diverse perspectives, skills, and experiences, especially in areas such as non-profit governance, sustainable food systems, local government, and environmental stewardship.

We are committed to fostering justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion and strongly encourage applications from Indigenous people, whose perspectives and knowledge are vital to shaping a more equitable and regenerative future.

Help us grow the future of food and stewardship—apply today! Visit our website to learn more about CFFS and submit your application below. Following your application, we will contact you for an interview to discuss your experience, interest, and understanding of CFFS. Board members meet online once a month and positions are for a term of one year, from the date of the AGM. Candidates are required to be an active member of CFFS.

Ive inquired about getting a plot starting in May but have not been notified one way or another. I would like to start some seedlings at home but am reluctant if I have no where to plant them. Ive received invites to a Zoom meeting but feel it would be inappropriate to attend as an outsider. Thank you for your consideration. Eldon Tirling Carla Hunt

The Sandown Centre is located on the traditional lands of the SENĆOŦEN speaking W̱S͸ḴEM (Tseycum) peoples of the W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations. We recognize, with deep humility and respect, the people who stewarded these lands since time immemorial and the devastation caused by colonization.

Regenerative Agriculture draws from the wisdom and environmental connection that is found in Indigenous food systems throughout history and accross the globe. During colonization, farming as we know it, was used to remove Indigenous people from their ancestral lands and disrupt their traditional foodways, causing widespread suffering and loss of life. Integral to regenerative agriculture is food sovereignty, equity, justice, environmental conservation, and the knowledge that we must care for the earth to care for ourselves. We are committed to working in the spirit of these ideals, and strive towards tangible reconciliation work through land restoration, stewardship, education, food and relationship.
